I’m a big scents person, and am more sensitive to scents than most people. I also happen to be a creature of habit and have been wearing the same pinot noir concoction of Stella McCartney for 7 years, despite dousing my room and possessions with a mixture of other peculiar scents (Irving will scream though once I start dousing his letters with Van Cleef & Arpels). What can I say, when it comes to scents, I often feel like being unfaithful. But I haven’t found the right mistress yet.

Peau de Peche by Keiko Mecheri
Lucky Scent manager Steven Gontarski smells smells all day. We put his discerning sniffer to use and asked him to describe a few of his favorite scents.
Of Peau de Peche he said: “It combines the scent of peach with floral notes without becoming simple or cartoonish. It’s a gorgeous, transparent fragrance that shimmers with the coolness of fresh water yet remains complex and present in a persistent, subdued manner.”
Lys Carmin by Van Cleef & Arpels
“A spicy lily: elegant and formal yet inviting,” Gontarski says.
Back to Black by By Kilian
“It captures the warmth of tobacco leaves sweetened with honeyed fruit, almond, and vanilla. Deep, rich, sexy, and delicious,” Gontarski says
